Venere black rice
Linea "Fico" of 800 gr
Black Venere Rice was born in Italy in the late 90s but has origins that go back to ancient China. Versatile and unmistakable, with its ebony color, it gives an exotic flavor to the recipes it brings to the table. Compared to refined rice, it has a higher fiber content and maintains a higher quantity of vitamins and mineral salts. The black color denotes the presence of antioxidants in the coating of the rice grains. Being a brown rice, black rice requires longer cooking times than classic white rice. Cooking times for black rice are about 40 minutes.
Tips & Pairings
Venere rice is a very particular variety that gives truly special aromas and its dark color also gives a splendid chromatic note in the dishes in which it is used.
The rosy color of the prawns will stand out in the Venere rice with prawns and zucchini, and the lightly toasted almond slivers will stand out even more when preparing the venus curry rice!
These dishes are perfect to serve hot or at room temperature but if you are looking for a variant to be served cold for the summer, don't miss the Venere rice salad, rich in sprouts and seasonal vegetables!
Keep in a cold and dry place.
