For the line of products based on Blueberry and Berries we have chosen Azienda Agricola i Rodi, a family-run business located in Fanano on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, surrounded by green meadows and chestnut woods; the company philosophy is based on organic farming and a complete production cycle that includes separate waste collection, energy saving and photovoltaic systems, to ensure total respect for the environment. After the cultivation of blackberries, red currants, black currants, strawberries, raspberries and the subsequent harvest (to which we add the bilberry, not cultivated but wild), we move on to the transformation in a small artisan laboratory also located near the company: it is one of the few companies that can certify blueberry-based products from the Modenese Apennines with the mark of the Modena Chamber of Commerce, to ensure the origin and high quality of the fruit.

The bilberry, or wild blueberry, is a completely spontaneous fruit, which is neither sown nor cared for by man; it can be found in the areas of Northern Europe and, in our case, in the Modenese Apennines above 1500 m asl: it will later be certified as "Biological Blueberry of the Modenese Apennines". This food has an intense bluish color on the outside with a more vivid red tone inside the pulp and to grow it needs climatic conditions characterized by an alternation between cold and snowy days and other longer and sunny ones; these small "berries" also ensure a very high content of anthocyanins (almost 8 times more than the cultivated blueberry!) and polyphenols, which perform important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Unlike the cultivated blueberry, it is a more artisanal product, harvested completely by hand, and which is always genuine and with very intense flavors and aromas.

This surprising Organic Nectar is obtained through the transformation of the exclusive Mirtillo Nero from the Modenese Apennines (trademark registered at the Modena Chamber of Commerce) collected on the territory by the I Rodi Agricultural Company, located in the Modenese Apennines between Sestola and Fanano. It is created in an artisanal, natural way and using organic methods and techniques, adding a minimum amount of cane sugar (strictly organic); it has a dark purple color, an intense and pungent aroma and a fresh, astringent and very persistent taste, given by the high quantity of fruit contained within it.

It will be delivered in a practical glass bottle with hermetic closure and label.

Given its strong and intense blueberry flavor, we recommend enjoying it as an afternoon snack together with homemade biscuits and desserts or as a small vice at the end of a meal, perhaps diluted with water; turns out to be very thirst-quenching and suitable for children and adults.
