    History & Curiosity

    Brusche Amarene di Modena Pgi:

Amarene Brusche di Modena Igp is a jam obtained from the fruits of bitter cherry grown in some municipalities in the province of Modena and Bologna.

It can be defined as a Modenese historical product that dates back to the Renaissance period; initially we are talking about a niche cultivation, but with the passage of time the cerasicoltura (cherry cultivation) develops a lot, strongly increasing production.

From this tradition comes the jam in question, distinguished by its soft consistency and its well-balanced flavor between sweet and bitter.

Furthermore, its fruit content is very high: more than 170 grams of fruit per 100 grams of product!

Its use is recommended above all as a filling for cakes, pies, ravioli but also as a dessert.

Organic jams, compotes, syrups and nectars:

Selection of extra jams, compotes, syrups and organic nectars with wild berries: the blueberry of the Modena Apennines used in the creation of these excellences has received the mark of the Chamber of Commerce of Modena for its quality and uniqueness.

They come from Fanano, a small village in the Modenese mountains.
